Hi everyone,
Do someone knows which one of these 2 shock absorbers is the best option to replace rear absorbers of my Grande Punto 1.3 MultiJet Sport 90HP?

*MONROE E1354
*SACHS 313571

Thanks in advance,
Ruben V.

I put whatever shop 4 parts sell on one of my cars which seem fine and I've got Bilstein B4 for the other. Shop 4 parts items have been on for about 18 months now and I've no complaints and there is little if any sign of corrosion, they were cheap too.

Cheers

Ben

Ok. Thanks Ben.

In general, Sachs are the better shock absorbers, and will give a noticable better ride quality over oem-shocks.

(unless Sachs supplied the OEM ones)! As Grice says, it depends what you're looking for. I think Bilstein do a very good performance damper. Koni do too, and theirs are re-buildable. If it's a comfy ride you're after, rather than handling, I find Monroe are ok, if a little soggy.

What about KYB?
How do you guys compare KYB shocks to the Monroe or the Sacks.

I was getting some rear wheel vibration and slight hopping at high speeds.
Replaced the rear shocks with a pair of KYBs yesterday.
The car has totally changed how it behaves on the road.

Now I feel the fronts are loose... :).. i did saw they were loosing a bit of oil for some time.
Those are KYB as well .. replaced about 3 years ago, about 50k km ago... not that impressed with how long they lasted.
