hi everyone so ive read you can change 5 speed geagrande punto 1.2 8v for a 6 speed, any ideas what 6 speed gear boxes would fit? and would i need any other parts

Also at the moment when i cruise at 60MPH my RPM goes to 3500 RPM and the engine flashes at me if i drope the speed to about 50 55 MPH the revs go too 3000 RPM and the enging light goes off n stays off. so if i put a 6 speed gear box in the car will i be able to cruise at 60 MPH at 3000 RPM in 6th gear as apose to at the moment being at 60mph in 5th gear at 3500 RPM with engine light flashing at me?

i think you need the 7 speed dual-clutch auto box, that one doesn't make the check engine light flash till you're past 130mph

1. it is possible.
2. will require a lot of tial and error => money
3. additional stuff you will need: drive shafts, engine/gearbox mounts, possibly: gear selector with cables, complete clutch
4. some of the changes will also require other changes as hubs.


Solve the problem the engine has at the moment (probably air leak or fuel problem...aftr a correct diagnosis it should be pretty cheap)
Then use the car as is, with the current gearbox.

its been in a garage and they havnt been able too diagnose it me n my dad have checked everything we cant find why its doing it, i read somewhere theres a fiat 6 speed gearbox that will drop in but they didnt mention what box.

to the top comment i cant put an auto box into a manual car
