Any one know if I buy a universal adjustable wastegate actuator with a few different springs can I run more boost ?

Hi Alex,

accoding to eLearn, the 1.9 MJT doesn't have a wastegate but a moving vanes turbo (variable geometry), which actuator is driven by the ECU...

If you want a kick in the a** you can shorten the vanes actuator rod; 1 full turn is 1 mm and is way enough to feel the difference at high revs !
But as said elsewhere in the forum "what goes up must go down" , and you will lose boost in low revs and linearity in throttle reponse.
If not already done, mark the adjusting notched nut so you can put it back in its exact position, as you will most probably do after a while ;-)
Last but not least: do that at your own risks, don't blame me if your ECU goes in limb mode or your turbo fails...

ECU remap is the best solution !
