Hi last night while driving my 06 1.4 8v I noticed there was a glass like knocking sound coming from the passenger side. During the drive it got worse. And every little bump in the road would set it off again. Any help would be muchly appreciated.

DON'T RUN THE ENGINE ANYMORE !!

If it sound like multiple "cheers" with crystal glasses, it's probably "cheers" between valves and pistons !!
Had this once on my Typo 2.0 16V: it came just after hitting the highway, time to stop the car and engine was already dead... The culprit was the timing (cam)belt: because of a few worn teeth it had slipped on the sprokets, enough to make the valves collide with the pistons :-(

If I were You, I would have this checked !

There is nothing made from glass around suspension/steering etc area.

Can you record a video?

Take your empty beer bottles out of the glove box!

Given that it coincides with bumps in the road, I'd focus my attention on the suspension first. Have you checked around the passenger side for anything that looks loose or broken? Broken spring maybe?
