Hi
My son has an 08 punto. Just before Christmas the heater packed up. Garage said the resistor had gone and put a new one in. All was well for a week when the heater stopped working again. The day before we were due to take the car back to the garage the heater started working again. The garage said it was probably 'just a loose wire' which I found a rather dubious explanation. Anyway the heater has stopped working again.
Another issue which may or may not be connected to the heater problem is that condensation / ice has started forming inside the car during this period of cold weather. I think this is due to the passenger window not working and I think it might not be fully closed. Would the freezing temperature inside the car possibly stop the heater working? I say this because it was much milder weather last week when the heater was working but over the weekend when it dropped to freezing point, the heater stopped working again.
I am going to book the car into a (different) garage but would appreciate any comments / advice in the meantime.
Many thanks
