Hi Bob,

I wish Mike Hopper had updated his post so we knew a bit more about his failled selector but unfortunately He did not ...
Couldn't find more information in the dualogic training/spare parts manuals :-(
Still interested on how you get on though !

Hi Bernie

Finally got time to disassemble the gear leaver. its not from the underneath of the car.
You just need to remove the center console and then you can remove the shift lever by unbolting 6 screws.

Then you have to unplug the small connector from the gear selector and that's it !

you have 3 tabs on the selector, by undoing them you can remove the cover.
there are nothing much inside it actually and don't think you can repair it.

I cleaned the inside and applied some lithium grease. but nothing changes and the issue is still exists.

I have attached some pictures for reference.

Regards
Bob

Thanks for the Pictures Bob !

Since april I had to dig in the manuals that can be found on the net and I can tell now that the selector lever is build around 7 (or 10) Hall-Effect sensors whose status are mapped in a 4 digit configuration thru diodes array. Not as basic as I thought but still possible to troubleshoot down to components level …

Thanks Bernie,

I'm not good with electronics tho, think its way more easier to replace the entire part. :D

easier of course but probably not as cheap ;-) Using a breadboard, four resistances and 4 switches / pushbuttons one could build a "simulator" for troubleshooting purpose ...
