Hi guys 'n' gals,

I'm thinking about buying a set of Wolfrace Turismo 4X100 | 17X7.5" | ET40 fitted with 205/45/17 tyres.

I have a 2006 GP 1.3 Mjet, with stock 15" alloys.

Could you help me out and tell me if these Wolfrace wheels will fit ok, and if they will poke, or advise of any issues I might have putting these on, like rubbing arches anything at all. It will really help with deciding whether to get them or not.

Thanks in advance for any help, it's much appreciated peeps.

I'm pretty sure you need 17x7J wheels for the 205/45/17 tyre.
These will not poke, rub or cause any issues, it's within Grande Punto's factory spec wheel/tyre combination.

Thanks for your reply. I've seen that in the handbook, the only reason I said that tyre size is that's what Wheelbase.com are suggesting as the tyre for that size wheel, to buy from them as a package.
The main thing I need to know, is whether an alloy wheel with 7.5j width will be ok or not, that's what is the decider whether I buy or not.
I've missed out on a couple of sets of stock punto sporting wheels on Gumtree and Ebay, and getting fed up with waiting, so thought I'd ask on here if anyone knows how the 7.5 would fit before committing to buying.

I could be mistaking but 205s go with 7.5Js only if the wheels have that outside lip you see on specialised drift cars. If the wheel does not have that lip then 7.5Js go with 215s

If I were you I would go with the standard 205/45/17s on 4x100 17x7J ET43, they look great and they're the recommended dimension by the manufacturer so no issues with insurance companies.
Over here insurance companies don't care what wheels you have on your car, they don't even look at it.
That sounds nice BUT...
...and there's a big but...
If you come across a road block by the Road Authority&Police together and you have tyre&wheel combinations not specified by the manufacturer they could even confiscate the car's papers and deem it non-roadworthy.

Thanks for your feedback. That's my concern with the 7.5's, they might rub on the arches. I really love the ones I've listed above, but don't want to let the heart rule the head and waste hundreds of pounds on something that is not fit for correct use, if you know what I mean. I really originally wanted the standard 17 inch sporting wheels, but they don't come up very often, and when they do they're in really bad need of a refurb, and the cost to powder coating, and tyres, on top of the cost of the wheels adds up to the cost of buying new. But they suit the GP the best in my opinion, so not sure what to do now, in a bit of a 'catch 22'.

Ha! I'm actually going to put my 17 Sporting alloys up for sale in about 30 mins after I get them out of the boot and clean them up a bit.
I'm looking to get the Wolfrace alloys too but the 15x7J so I can run 205 tires on more rubber, some of the roads here are a bit rough and I need more dampening.
I know exactly what you mean, it's a tightrope when choosing the right custom wheels and factory made are always the safest and best bet, I went through all this exactly one year ago when I was looking for 17s.

That's a shame you're in Romania then, because if they're the ones I want I would definitely have been interested.

Check out the ad, if you like them maybe we can figure out cost effective and safe shipping, it's not impossible.

Thanks mate, had a look at the ad on the mobile app but couldn't see any photos of the wheels, will have a look on pc. But to be honest, 800 pounds is very expensive. The sporting wheels here in the UK come up for sale on Gumtree and Ebay, at anything between 100 to 300 pounds.

No worries, I mentioned it because it was an interesting coincidence.
I know the price is a bit high but they're near-mint condition and with almost new Pirellis on them, the price is for wheels&tyres together.
It wouldn't feel right to put them up for 500 pounds considering how much the tyres cost.

Yeah I know what you mean. That's fair enough. I've just had a look through the Web browser and it's not the ones I want anyway, but thanks for mentioning it mate. I'm sure you'll find a buyer quick, like you say they're in great condition with top class tyres on them.
