Hello,

I really need to get to the bottom of this! I've looked all over the internet and have yet to find a solution. I would like to know if someone else has had this problem and if they managed to fix it.

So I have a 2009 Fiat Grande Punto GP and the display is always flashing the time. I've looked through the handbook on how to change it but nothing seems to work. I've also changed the car battery as I was due a new one but that didn't do anything either.

I press my 'Menu' button but all it does it beep at me and doesn't cycle through any of the settings. I tried this on all the different turns of the key but still does the same thing.

I feel like I'm missing out on everything else that should be on the display such as the MPG etc. Only the mileage and temp show and then they disappear after driving a little to just the flashing time.

I made the same thread back in 2015 but got so many conflicted information.

Can someone please give me a suggestion on what to do as its now driving me crazy and I'm also aware that this display should bring up any error's in the vehicle if there is one. So that's another function I don't have access to.

Thank you!

Thank you for the reply! Any particular scanner I need to get? I used one that I had for my previous car but it didn't seem to work at all.

The scanner I have is a 'U480 OBD2 LCD Car Diagnostic Scanner Fault Code Reader'

There is an OBD standard for ENGINE fault codes

But you need to communicate with the BODY COMPUTER..
MultiECUScan is what we tend to recommend.

MultiECUScan connected to ELM327 obd adaptor (usb/wifi)
You may have to get the yellow cable adaptor too (depends on the version of the adaptor I think)

The real reason of the flashing mileage is an electrical problem somewhere btw.
