Hi guys,
I own a 2008 dualogic grande punto. On each cold start (before work and after work). I put the key inside and get this message:"CHECK TRANSMISSION SEE HANDBOOK" i can't put the car into gear. After about 30 seconds i hear the pump once again (i think it's the pump) and the message disappears.here a video that i recorded this morning. Thanks for helping.

A common fault with the Dualogic with no certain quick fix. When I had my 2009 GP Dualogic it would give the same error on cold, damp days. Running the engine until the temperature gauge reached just beyond the 1/4-mark usually got things going again. If you ever have to move the vehicle during this time, you'll probably find that it's stuck in gear and the problem is that the Dualogic system can't select neutral.

My working theories were:

Damp in the electrics somewhere that dries out when the engine warms up; or

Temperature related viscosity changed in a fluid either in the servos or the gearbox itself, the gearbox sensors sensing too much resistance and preventing operation until the fluid warmed up and thinned.

Get any error codes read to see what they say, but mine never gave anything other than generic WTF? codes with this problem.

If you search the forum for Dualogic you'll find several similar/related threads.

thank you for the reply. On the subject i dont think that it have anything with the engine. as you can see in the video that i posted the key is half way the engine is not running and i get this massege.

Hi, Sounds as if the HP pump isn't starting to pump when you open the driver's door. Can you hear the pump the instant you open the door? If not ,try shutting it and opening again , might be the switch on the door. Mind you , I don't know what sort of swich it is . could be a simple one or a sensor type.

I can hear it each time i open the door. BUT sometimes its a long pump like 20 seconds after that i get no "CHECK TRANSMISSION" message and sometimes its a bit shorter like 10 seconds after that short sound i get the message after a while i hear the pump again and the message disappear/

have you had the system purged electronically??
