Hi,

My daughter has a Grand Punto M-Jet diesel 16v 1300 2008 and she is advised the auxiliary belt has snapped. Unfortunately she drove with engine warnings until it stopped....

Can anyone advise what the belt drives and is it important, e.g. water pump or oil pump? I'm trying to work out if I have a blown head or ceased crank on my hands.
