Hello everyone, i have a problem on my fiat grande punto 1.3 multijet 2009, the rear windshield wiper doesn´t stop by itself in the right place, everytime i turn the car on, the wiper starts wipping and after 3 turns +/- it stops in random position, then i have to turn it on and stop it by myself in the right place so it doesn't look bad.
Can anyone tell me what is the problem?
Thanks a lot guys

Hi, and welcome to FF, :)

"parking" is usually controlled by a component in the motor itself..;)

but are you saying it actually powers-up with the ignition every time..??:confused:

You mean the switch is the thing where I choose to turn on or off the wiper?
Sorry I'm Portuguese some technical words I might not understand.
If it's that what you mean, it works perfect, when i choose to turn it on and off, it always work perfectly.

I would use this guide to check and see when the power stops / starts to the MOTOR

https://www.fiatforum.com/grande-punto-guides/196756-how-de-wiper-tailgate.html
so you can tell if the switch function is o.k.

this is a motor strip down I did on a Marea rear wiper;

post # 10 - the plastic gear wheel has contacts on it..these are basically sensors for where the motor "parks"

I was checking right now, and i think the problem is on the switch, i lifted the wiper up so the noise of it cleaning the glass wouldnt disturbe me from earing a noise of the unit controlling the wiper to stop, and it comes from the switch, the same thing is with the front wipers but are working fine. When i turn the key with the switch off the rear wiper turns 3 times and stops at a random place, when i turn the switch on, as soon as i turn it of it stops.
I was hoping it was something easy to fix, but it might not be, later i will talk to someone specialized because im afraid to make it worse...
