Hello all,

I'm hoping someone can assist with an issue I have with the passenger window not working correctly on my wife's car. Only brought the car recently, it appears someone disconnected the cable inside the door for the motor previously and when connected the window would go down but not up.

I've already proven this is a broken cable issue as when I inverted the connections at the motor the window would then go up fine...so presently it is disconnected.

I've read through the other threads for any advice but I've come up with noting useful just yet.

I've proven continuity between the window switch and the motor but now need to extend my checks through the rest of the loom so I can find the break, disconnected the connector where the loom goes into the car body but I have no pinout diagrams to assist me.

I've downloaded the elearn for the grande punto but can't work out how to access it correctly, so if someone could point me in the direction of a pin out diagram that would assist me great, or alternatively provide me the instructions how to use the elearn I'd appreciate it, many thanks in advance:)

Do you have a disc emulator installed? Elearn is an iso file so basically a cd in file format so you'll need a program to 'trick' the computer into thinking it's a cd in its drive to use the program.

Many thanks, forgot about the emulator as its been years since I've used WinRAR and stuff. Now loaded the disc and got the diagrams I need, will be looking at the car again in a couple of weeks as working away just now...cheers

It's not the usual issue of a break in the wiring in the rubber conduit between the door and the car body is it by any chance?

Hi, just finally got round to looking at the wiring on the car.
So got wiring diagrams and connector info off the elearn, so looking at D031 the main body connector to the car, H050 the driver windows switch and N061 the window motor.
looking at the 6 pins on H050 I can confirm that pin 2 and 5 going to N061 are correct, I'm then looking at continuity from the switch going back to D031, pin 1 on the switch is correct to pin 23 at the door, pin 3 at switch to pin 18 also correct, but pin 6 to pin 22 at the door is not correct.
Now firstly I initially thought I had the correct interconnecting diagram but since realised I had wrong vehicle selected, wife's is the 1.3 multijet, made no difference when looking at interconnecting diagram for the 5 door version she has, but it doesn't reflect reality, the 3 door version is more accurate though. H050 is a 6 pin connector and N061 is a 2 pin, but looking at interconnecting diagram for 5 door version N061 looks like a 6 pin connector and H050 a 4 pin.
I'm also looking at the low trim level diagrams.
I suspect the pin 6 at H050 which is a thin black and purple wire is broken somewhere along it's length, now my dilemma, I can't access the rear of D031 to inspect the pins themselves...I can remove the rubber choke at the back no issues but as its a right angle connector there's no access to the pins, I removed the orange rubber membrane at the front of the connector but can't work out how to then remove the block so I can access these pins...so any help there would be appreciated, and if I'm looking at wrong diagrams, again help appreciated, that said if I can get to back of D031, I can mark one eyeball visually identify each wire and where it connects.

DGPunto...I believe break is in the connector at the door, but have no idea how to access the pins in the back of the connector as it's a right angle connector, please see my last message on this thread, if you have any idea how to dismantle the door connector it would be appreciated
