So this is my first car and when looking around online at mods for the car I came across this forum which has been very helpful, so I decided make an account and share my car and what I'm doing/done to it.

First mod was the gear knob and gaiter:

Black leather with red stitch, the gear knob was easy to get on just twist off and twist on but the gaiter a bit harder and needed a slight modification.

Next a stubby/bee sting aluminum and carbon fiber look aerial:

Didn't like the look of the aerial so I think it's a nice subtle addition.

Carbon look badges:

Badge 3.jpg

Originally because the badges were worn and old looking I was going to replace them with standard badges but came across these carbon style and think they look pretty good and helps monotone the car. Don't have a photo of the back but it's similar. You'll probably ask why not badgeless? Not sure if I'm fond of that plus the rear badge would have to stay anyway with serious modification that is.

So that's what I've done so far but what next?

  • Leather red stitch dash and door cards

  • Carbon fiber wing mirror covers

  • Upgrade speakers

  • Remove rear "Punto" badge (haven't got around to it yet)

  • Fix up some scratches on the paint work

  • Possibly alloys

  • Possibly carbon wrap door pillars

Not going too crazy for my first car especially as it's just a 1.2.
Tell me what you think or If you have any suggestions.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks! I agree I don't want to go too crazy/expensive just subtle stuff here and there just to make it look nicer and to tide me over until insurance allows me to get a better car (no hate just not my dream car of course).
Well I've just ordered some "6d" high gloss carbon vinyl and "3d" carbon vinyl so I'll see about wrapping the door pillars, wing mirror covers and maybe a few other things when it comes and I'll update the post.

Keep us updated! Sounds like you're turning your car into a stunner.

Where did you get your gear head from? Looks so much better then the OEM.

So today as I said I wanted to remove the rear "Punto" badge. To get the badge off was actually really easy using dental floss and a sawing action, but it did leave a lot of the sticky foam behind but that wasn't too hard to get off.
So here's hoe the rear's looking:

Also you can see the carbon badge and there was a mangoletsi sticker on the left side of the hatch plus one on the rear screen which I removed.

 Nearly £50 for the lot? Not sure what I expected but it wasn't that, but I am a cheapo  might get that after payday (y)thanks mate.

The back looks so barren without the Punto badge! :yum: Looks pretty good, you didn't damage the paintwork getting rid of the badge and it's sticky juice?

Yeah kind of a lot for sure but couldn't find anything similar for cheaper and to buy the same knob from one of official fiat accessory websites it costs 96.11 inc tax. There charging crazy money for stuff!

Did think about a carbon "Punto" badge to replace at first but love the clean look and the paint works fine needs cleaning but no scratches or marks from where the badges/stickers were, luckily

Just noticed that, unbelievable! I'm new to this so I didn't realise that was actually good value. :yum:

What about your aerial? I completely forgot I'm after a good looking stubby aerial!

Nice work on your car mate. It sounds like you've put a lot of work into looking great!

Thanks, ordered myself one of those aerials! Want to see if I can fit in my garage without removing it, but for £3 and a good looking design it's worth the risk!

You'll have to post how those sills look, I bet they'll look amazing!?

Definitely work the risk for such a small cost.

Will do when I get them.

Not that I've noticed but I never really use the radio only a few time since the swap.

Carbon fiber vinyl came today so when I'm on my days off (probably monday) I'll have a go at wrapping the door pillars and maybe some other things too

I definitely should've checked that before I bought it, I'm always listening to the radio because I can't be bothered to plug my phone in to AUX. Effort!

I'll say if I see any difference either, I wouldn't imagine it would cause any loss though.

Thanks, this is a neat little ariel, and now it no longer hits my garage door!

There does appear to be a signal drop, probably due to the size. With my regular antenna I can just about pick up Heart FM on my radio (to the point it hisses and displays the name after a while ). With this antenna it's quieter, and the station name doesn't come up. Driving out the garage, it picks up a lot better.

Id say a good little stubby.

With my 1.2 06 GP, I have added alloy wheels, wind deflectors, re-coloured the badges to black, fitted black Abarth headlights, and Lexus style tail lights and built in entertainment centre with head up display. I would like to get the colour changed eventually. The picture was before I installed the wind deflectors and Lexus lights. I also have a couple of dents in the rear doors which I want removing due to the great Fiat door handle mechanisms.

That's good to hear your experience was pretty good

I've noticed it started to look like it's rusting - the base of the aerial below the carbon fibre pattern is now and orangy red. I'll post a picture later. Have you experienced this also?

Any updates on your car's mods? (y)
