I have seen so many threads about people's fans not working and I was lucky enough to find that mine is just a loose connection. The question is... Is there any way I can prevent it going off all the time. A little bump can knock it off and I have to stop and get out to get it back on.

Never heard of that issue. Is the connector broken or something?

I'm surprised, the cooler fans are one of the most common issues when I look online. It's usually the resistor that's shot or issues with the loom needing replaced.

I have to wiggle the wires for mine to work again. It's due to the wiring being so short so its quite tight. I just wanted to know if there was anything I could do to stop it moving

Can you upload some pictures so we can see what you are talking about
Maybe the wires have been wrongly route or bodged

Did you ever get it fixed, I have mk 2 Punto and my blower stopped working all together over weekend, this morning found out the connection is loose.

The wiggling worked for a couple of months but then it kept going off more frequently. After investigating I noticed the cables had melted. Took it to an auto electrician and got it fixed.

Cost me around £350, new motor, resistor and repair kit with an hours labour.

Labour is expensive in Aberdeen. :(
