Hi,

Can anyone offer any assistance, I need to get a replacement mount that the front suspension bolts into under the bonnet of the car. I have tried to find what the part is called and part numbers but can't for the life in me discover what it is called. I have attached an image and it is number 9 on the parts list.

And names, part numbers would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Kris

What is wrong with the old one or is it missing? Easiest is probably a breakers yard!

I only bought the car in October with 64k on the clock with part service history. The car has had new springs but not any new absorbers (Sticker on them dated 2006) and when I have removed the shocker today noticed that the plate has been damaged and/or over tightened causing it to completely deform. So whilst I'm replacing the shockers and top strut mounts thought I'd replace the plates also.

:)

Thanks Andy much appreciated. Will ring Fiat tomorrow and see if they have any available.

I think you will find those washers are dished anyway, put up a picture of yours.

I have managed to sort it. I have replaced the shocks, top mounts and coils as they have not been changed in 10years!!!! Still got the date sticker of 2006. Can't believe they've lasted so long.

It was a dished plate, but I managed to hammer it back into shape, they were okay otherwise, just had been tightened too much I assume.... Since replacing all the shocks and top mounts it's like a whole new car.

And old thread I found by accident, but yeah. My GP 2008 also has the original suspension, and only now there's a slight knocking on the front left when going over some sudden bumps like narrow speed bumps. Probably the strut mount or bearing. Otherwise it still works quite well. Perhaps slightly soft compared to our 2 year old Honda Jazz (Fit), but nothing major. Really good OE suspension in the Grande Punto, I must say! Going to be replacing the front suspension soon, due to age. Hopefully the after market OEs work just as well - Bilstein probably.

I hope so ;-) My front are tired after 6 years...when I stop, my front is swaying few times like a carriage :) Its also not so solid in turns
