Has anyone ever had a weird electrical whining under the bonnet on any grande?

It started 2 weeks ago, I may be 50/50 on where it's coming from. My guess is the alternator bearings have gone, which is causing this horrible electrical grinding.

Once the cars starts the sounds starts. And it's constant when the cars either in idle or drive. First gear seems louder and gets higher pitched. And no, it's not the gearbox.

I'll be surprised if the alternator isn't on its way out. Get it checked and/or replaced ASAP before it dies completely, lol!

Yeah that's my best bet, good al alternators gone. Has to be next week until anythings gonna get sorted so it's been the 3 week sounding ill for the poor grande
