Is there a specific type of diagnostic tool you need for the fiat punto active grande 07 plate? Just tried a MEMOSCAN CAN OD2 U480 and it keeps coming up with 'LINKING ERROR'

Hi, thanks! :)

Ive got an engine warning light on and I'm trying to check the code to find out what's wrong, been having trouble starting the car for a while now also.

Cheers,
Ben

Did you get any joy Benny?

I too have a cheap U480 maxiscan tool of ebay which works great with Pug 308 and Alfa Gt but gives linking error on the Fiat GP.

Just order a simple ELM 327 from china.
Bluetooth or wifi.
Use torque on your phone or tablet :)
Wifi for ios, bluetooth for android.
The best and easiest way to diagnose.

Hi,
I do not think that Torque and Bluetooth (or Wi-Fi) interface is the "best" way by a long shot. For starters Torque is not primarailly a diagnostic tool. Second it's not Fiat specific, third wireless connnections can be unreliable.
An ELM 327 USB interface and Multiecuscn is far superior (AlfaOBD is another option) and arguably the best solution for Fiats.
