Just bought 56 plate grand punto sportive for my son as his first car, he loves the car apart from it tackes him 10-12 turns of the key to get it started in the morning.
Once it starts its fine and restarts 1st time every time within a4hour period if left longer it will start within 2-3 turns.
Seems at its worst when left over night. Just had a full service carried out so now he's getting really frustrated:bang:

Hi,
A little more information would be useful.
What engine does the car have?
Any warning lights?
Was the fault there before it went for the service? If so did the garage know about the fault?
Did you buy it privately or from a dealer? It it was a dealer, have you talked to them about the problem.

Bought the car privately but think the guy had it running befor we got there but the following morning realised this problem.
Had it fully serviced for piece of mind and to see if it might have helped in sorting the starting issue, it hasn't
It's a 1.4 grand punto active sport
 
Sorry there was 1 engine light on which the garage dealt with and now clear
Looking at getting it scanned tomorrow re pressure drop over night if that makes sense?
 
Have you had the battery checked?

I used to have a grande 1.2 8v with a varta battery, refused to start on some cold mornings without a push or jumpstart and struggled on others after sitting over night but was absolutely fine in warmer weather or after that first cold start
