Hello. Recently I noticed my Grande Punto Active 1.2 2007 jerks and jumps really strong while I starts moving car on 1st gear. Mostly when I move uphill but sometimes on a level surface as well. RPM max 2-3k. There is no problem when I use car after start moving.

did anyone had similar problem?

No engine light?
No problem under heavy acceleration on 2nd gear or any other gear?

Not really. I cannot see any problems with acceleration or start moving on 2nd gear. When I start moving downhill there is no problem... sometimes it looks like wheel spinning but it's not.

I think you should look clutch/engine mounts/wheels etc condition.

I had a problem like that with my old car ( VERY jerky start with 1st gear) and it was the clutch. (worn disk + oil on it)

Try to start slowly, feel the clutch bite point, don't clutch in fast and see if that helps.

Also try starting without gas, only using the clutch (level surface of course) and then accelerate hard with 1st.

the problem does not exist while driving back and downhill.

Does anyone knows how much cost replace clutch in this car?

Could be an engine/gearbox mount too.

Could be off here but I read on here roughly £350

It's strange. Today It didn't happened. I was driving a car for over 15km. Everything works fine... I have no idea what is this

Do you think it may be the poor quality petrol? I bought this time petrol on different petrol station than usually and I can not see the problem anymore...

Did you solve the problem because I can not find what’s that??
