Hi!

I've just had my steering column replaced by the local mechanic a few days back but I've picked the car up with a few dash board warnings such as 'ESP Unavailable' and 'ASR disconnected' as well as the 'hill holder unavailable' also worth mentioning the button with ASR on it is stuck illuminated so I have no option to turn it back on.

to be honest I'm not that fussed about the hill holder due to when I first got the car it came up but had gone after a few weeks.

I believe the garage disconnected the battery as all the time/date were reset so I'm guessing it's down to the battery. I've tried the above locking the steering from one side to the other but no luck, any suggestions?

This is a very common issue and is often caused by low battery charge, a long journey might cure it.

The steering angle sensor needs to be realigned. This can either be done via:

Let the engine run idle, turn full left, full right, full left, and back to centre, if this fails, then the aliment must be done via the diagnostic equipment from a dealer. I would contact your garage, to see if they forgot this step.

I also have the same problem: hill holder unavailable, ESP unavailable but my ASR disconnects and reconnects occasionally. I also have the yellow triangle with the ! in the middle on the speedo side. Been told it's a brake switch but not too sure, be great if I could find out too! :(

Sounds exactly like the same problem! I've spoken to a garage apparently they've got to keep the car for an hour or so to run idle then have a look if their diagnostic machine can reset it all!
