Hoping someone might be able to guide me on where to go next..

Kept getting limp mode when the revs went above 3k. Turning off and on would sort it out but the check engine light would still remain.

I've done the wastegate fix as described on another thread and got that moving freely which I thought had fixed it but the problem is still there.

Is it the map/boost sensor that trips the limp mode does anyone know?

Normally a faulty map comes with poor mpg? I'm averaging 54 according to the trip computer.

I've scanned for fault codes but nothing ever comes up so I don't know where to start!

Help needed :)

Fixed. Just in case someone has a similar problem I installed a new MAP sensor but still the problem was there. I double checked the wastegate was still operating freely when I discovered the main air inlet pipe into the side of the turbo was loose causing the overboost, tightened it up and it's all good :)

Problem came back again :( think it was the actuator on the turbo as once this was lubricated with wd40 it behaved itself for a while. Judging by all the research I did it appears a weak point of the engine. I've no chopped it in for a new panda.

I'm having this exact problem with my 1.3 Multijet.

It seems like I lose a load of power when around 3k rpm.

I've spoken to a friend about it who said that it sounds like a faulty fuel sensor, so when the sensor doesn't realise the amount of fuel actually going into the engine it cuts the power of the engine down to account for this.

Just would like a second opinion on whether this could actually be the case!

Help needed also!

Check if there a diagnostic trouble codes in the Engine Controle Module, if not, check the actuator of the turbo (use a vacumpump/pressurepump to check the working of the dumpvalve), the seal inside did fail on a range of turbo's.
