Been a while since I have posted so hopefully I am in the right place.
Bit of advice needed about going about replacing a seat airbag on my 06 Grande. I have searched and seem to be getting differing info.
Basically the airbag located in the drivers seat airbag has gone off as a result of an accident. (I bought it like this) I am trying to work out if replacing the airbag unit alone is all thats needed or will I need to replace the ecu aswell. Can the original ecu not be re set using a hand held scanner type tool. The breakers I have just called suggest I need airbag, ecu and the sensor from the front panel and have quoted me over a ton for these !!

I can't see why ECU needs replacing, although it maybe the easier route.

Personally I'd change the airbag and see if the warning lights go out, if not then you know you need to investigate more if the ECU needs resetting or replacing
