Good evening all!

I have recently had my Gearbox refurbished after the dreaded noise and gearstick movement (All seems to be a-ok now)

It is my birthday in a few days and Im considering a Remap. I know there are a lot of threads regarding this but my question is gearbox specific.

If i was to go for the Stage 1 Remap (Quoting 186bhp) would this cause significant problems to my recently refurbished gearbox?

I wasnt going to do this before it was refurbished but now, in my eyes, this would be as good of a time as any?

Any horror stories?

M32 seems to be hit and miss - plenty of standard power cars breaking their boxes and plenty of mapped cars with fine boxes and vice versa.

There doesn't seem to be a pattern.

However, run the new bearings in well before remapping it. Drive the car gently for the next 500 miles or so, I wouldn't be remapping it before the bearings have had chance to run in.

I'm looking at maybe getting mine remapped. Also had the gearbox problem but after a new box it seemed fine even around the nurburgring. Have you had a quote for a remap?

Mines is remapped with straight thru pipe turbo back, egr blank and started whining after 15k of the remap. I wouldn't worry if yours has had a proper refurb as they will of used better than oem bearings. Mine just whines a little in 3rd and 4th

Go for it I say, lots of cars will underestimate you and the look on their face when you they can't you off the tail of their type R Honda is brilliant :)
