Assuming I've a broken hose, but need some assistance.

Washer fluid isn't reaching the rear screen. If I tell it to squirt for long enough the wash comes trickling out under the car just to the left of the exhaust.

Had a look under the boot liner and it's wet, coming from behind the left side panel.

Help!

When you open the boot, top left handside, there is a black rubber tube/gromit. The pipe will be split inside. In there infinite wisdom Fiat bundled it with all the wiring. A pig to get at.
Get it sorted now, as it'll lead to problems with the nearside light cluster.

Ive also had this same issue with my GP. Almost definitely split in that little rubber grommit on the left side between the car and the boot lid. The water runs down the wires on the left side causing wetness in the boot. Im pretty low on money so i fixed mine by connecting the two broken ends with a bit of old plastic tubing i had and glueing it with some sort of resin/epoxy glue I had.

Thanks guys. How do I get into that rubber bit without causing damage?

I managed to get at mine by pulling away each end of the rubber grommit from the body work and sort of just pulling it down. Its a tight bloody fit and a pain in the arse to do but it is possible. Later on I realised that all the water running through my wiring had ****ed my electrics and all those wires running through the rubber grommit had to be replaced. Worth checking all the wires look okay if you can while your at it.

Note: Once youve pulled away each end of the rubber, run the rear window washer and you should see the water come out of the rubber, this way you can be sure the break in the line is definitely there and not elsewhere.

No worries, if your break is anything like mine, the hose will have got all hard and brittle and snapped so im not 100 per cent that tape will be a good enough fix but I suppose you could give it a try. Id recommend cutting out the **** bit and going up your local hardware store and buying a bit of slightly larger gauge tubing and then gluing that in with some epoxy glue. Wouldnt cost much to do at all and cuts the risk of the tape fix leaking and leaving you with a more expensive wiring fix when the water eventually corrodes the wires.

Sounds like a plan. Thanks.

How did you get on?

Finally had time to get this sorted. My hose had gone brittle and broken in 2 places (one at each end of the grommet) so I took out the middle section and replaced it with some 3mm elastic tubing. Nightmare. Also spotted a lot of exposed wires in the same section so isolated and insulated those as best I could.

Thanks for the advice.

Well, that didn't work, not coming out again.

Gonna try and get some proper hose, since I used a bit knocking about last time.

Would the following be any good?

3mm variety, over the ends of the existing hose, sealed with epoxy? If not, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Hey,
I have a question.
Today I checked my trunk wire loom and almost all the cables were broken and corroded. I reconnected everything back, but now the window heater(trunk) doesn't work. odd thing is that mirrors are heating. So is there seperate fuse for rear window heater ? if so were can I find it? I have GP 1.3d 2007
