Check the VIN number and see if it's in the range. If it is they should sort it for you FOC.

Thanks mate I'll check it out!

Couple little things I need to sort on the car and she's back to being perfect :) plan on keeping it long term. I have this low mileage gearbox to stick in over winter whilst its in hibernation but I'm in 2 minds weather to put the better bearings in it whilst its out.. My uncle is an engineer so has all of the tools needed to press them back in etc

Still being plagued with this lol!

After the top mount it doesn't clunk as it did when hitting a speed bump but I can still hear it turning left to right quickly or if I coast over a bumpy road slowly, might book it into Fiat see if they can give me any clues! Wonder if they charge to diagnose lol

Im having a very similar problem to you alex, driving me mad, iv had everything changed and iv just checked the wheel arch. It is loose and it is possibly knocking against the wheel but it just doesn't feel like that kind of knock! Running out of ideas now

Are you 100% over the basics?

1.) Exhaust rubbers?
2.) Steering shaft?
3.) Gearbox mount(s)
4.) engine mounts (although it would happen when accelerating briskly).
5.) Anti-roll bar bushes (not drop links).

Where abouts does it sound like it's coming from front, mid or rear?

There's a small crossmember underneath the engine, have you checked that? I hit mine on a manhole cover, enough to bend it and loosen it.
It sounded like the heat shield rattling on the exhaust.
But the garage only found when they checked with a crowbar. It never really moved enough when they tried with their hand.

I finally found my problem, turned out to be the lower ball joint, absolutely made up. Its been knocking its cock off for months now! Bit of a pig to test unless you can take it to a garage and ask them to get it up on the ramps, might be worth looking at tho

My Grande Punto has been making a clunking noise for a while now, took it to a garage & they said they can hear it but don't know where the noise is coming from, so won't do anything until it gets worse, so frustrating.

Try the lower ball joint like jamie.

Tbh more cost effective to just get a full arm done. My punto has seen 3 of these in the past 3 years.
