Hello guys wonder if someone could help I have a 1.4 semi automatic punto and when it is in automatic it tends to jolt and then stop and on the screen if comes up with cheak transmission in book but I can find out what is wrong if someone could help that would be freak.

Does it work fine in manual mode? An does the car move?

My 1.4 semi auto judders when cold (apparently this is normal)

That's a start, id think then there is some sort of electrical problem (not fuse). Have you got access to a odb2 reader or better yet multiecu scan?

This may help pin point where the issue is.

Yer my dad knows someone that is gonna scan it

If any codes come back then let us know. Then someone maybe able to help pin point to the direct problem.

as MES will be as good as you'll find in MOST garages..,

Mine went for the scan and it come back with gearbox but I'm not sure if I will need a new gearbox or a clutch ....Help please ...

What was the code?

More than likely be a clutch issue than gearbox.

Get someone to check the earthing point around the gearbox as well.

If its the anything to do with the clutch or gearbox that needs changing then you'll have to get a relearn done on the car (dealer or multiecu scan)

It did not have a code just said gearbox when it was scanned

Strange, you'd usually get a code as well. Best person on here would be Most Easterly Pandas

They have good knowledge of the dual logic system and more than likely help you out with this issue
