Hi all good looking GP Folks! :)

Few questions, i have searched the forums, but a lot of posts are a few years old.. and new answers may be more relevant.

  • what kind of city mpg do you guys get? im currently sitting on 52.7mpg for short haul, long journeys (50+miles i get 68-71mpg) is that good?
  • I have an AUX setting on my radio, but no usb port in the glove?
  • is it meant to be god awful slow from 0-10mph? then speed up like a race horse?
  • where is the AC filler fuel liquid majiggy?
  • can the 240AC plug thing be moved? its next to the handbrake, and awkward with the cable to change gear with the cable going from drivers right window along the dash and down the centre console! :(

Hi, before blue and me become standard in the gp you had a aux port which I think is activated by pressing cd twice.

Take it you've got a diesel car? My 1.4 gets roughly 42 town maybe 50 combined.

They can be slow picking up (mine is until cars engine is warm)

Has for the power adapter its set there unless you add another one I think (which means you'd have cut a hole somewhere and re do some wiring.

I don't know what you mean by ac filler fuel majiggy.

Hope this helps.

yeh, i can get to the AUX Setting: but no sign of where i can connect an mp3/phone?

the AC fluid/Gas? or can only a garage refill the AC gas? as my AC doesn't seem as cold as AC should?

mines a 1.3 Mjet yeh :)

oh nah, 1st gear is well..1st gear

then once i get into 2nd 2k+ revs then i get going
3rd is fine once i peak 2.5k revs then i feel the "boost" and easily get upto about 65mph without any worry.

The 1.3 Mjet is very laggy so you dont really get any power until its on boost. Thats normal - unless you are getting nothing until 2300rpm ish then you could have an egr problem or something similar but if you find it to be down on power then its worth searching you symptoms on here and you should be able to find something

+1 above.

It's a small capacity engine, coupled with a Turbo blocking the exhaust, so it will be sluggish until on boost. Change your driving style so you don't stop unless you have to, if you keep it rolling, even in 1st or 2nd, its much easier to get to the boost.

For large volume production purposes efficiency is sacrificed by all OEM's, but there are things you can do if you are prepared to modify. MAF to Turbo Air Pipe can improve turbo response, but requires other mods such as crank case catch can to be added. Getting rid of the Catalytic converter will also help build boost quicker, exhaust downpipes are available in various places. Finally, the Intercooler to Inlet piping is not the most efficient or easiest flowing, custom piping can also help in that regard. Add a remap once all that is done and 90-100HP (75HP model) can be attained. It ill be a different car then.

Regarding the AC, check the condition of your AC rad!!! I re-gassed mine, it blows cold air, but its not as cold as expected, looked at my rad through the grill and the bottom half of it is bare core, no wonder then.......

lastly its an economy-mobile, don't expect F430 performance :p
