Hi everyone.
I just bought a Fiat Grande punti eleganza 1.4 8v automatic car.
I just realised my headlights is on constantly as soon as I turn the ignition on the lights come on.
Anyone knows is a fault or its normal?

Yes even if it's turned off the lights still on. Would be a fuse problem by any chance?

If was a fuse problem the light wouldn't come on would imagine (unless water in fuse box then it could cause this). Sounds like its shorting somewhere. Check the wires around the headlight to see if they are clean and not rusted in anyway

I found that the front fog lights are switched on the earth ( -ve) side of the circuit. Quite possibly its the same with the headlight , ie you have a chafed wire or plug that has water in it , allowing the circuit to be grounded and light come on. Have you also checked the plug is correctly attached to the rear of the headlight bulb, its not 180 degrees out or something daft like that?

If the green led on the dashboard is enabled then you have a bad stalk.

If the led is not enabled but the headlights are on then you have a stuck relay / problem in the fusebox etc.

Yes the green light is constantly on on the dashboard.... So it's looks like then a stalk broken...
Is that a hard job to change and is it expensive?thanks guys for the replay.

One point of notice though - you do need to be very careful if you are planning to do this as airbags are inherently dangerous

I've been told that this problem caused by the FOLLOW ME option. Apparently that preventing me to turn the lights off. Need a reset or something on the computer.. Anyone? Know whats that mean?
