Does anyone have an experience of fitting beam deflectors to a Grande Punto in terms of where they should be positioned?

The instructions that came with them are rather vague, and the handbook doesn't really say much about how to fit these either.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Usually if you have the normal Eurolites ones from Amazon/Halfords they come with a range of fitting diagrams. Their website says diagram 6 for the GP unless you have the very latest model: http://www.motoring-into-europe.co.uk/download/travel-spot-latest-vehicle-listing.pdf

As a check you can also point your car at a wall in the dark with low beam headlights on and make sure the suggested position eliminates the part of the low beam that is angled upwards to the left (left from the position as if you were sitting driving the car) before sticking them down. As I'm sure you know what you're aiming to do is not to dazzle oncoming drivers on your left

Thanks for your reply DG, I found the Eurolites compatibility list, but cannot find what position 6 would be.

The set I have are actually from a lot called Family Motoring and Leisure. Though the deflectors themselves seem similar to the Eurolites version, the instructions are a little on the light side. These come with a piece of tracing paper which you are supposed to hold over dipped headlights. You then need to match up the bulb with a point before sticking the cover in the 3 'o clock position. However due to the curved shape of the GP headlamp, there are potentially many places you could put them!

I will have to do some experimenting with the positioning in the evening. to see if I can work out where they go, but does anyone know where position 6 would be for the Eurolites converters, just so I roughly know where they should go!

It appears for eurolites say stick them on the left and these say put them on right of the headlamp bulb which is bizarre as products seem to be similar! :bang:

If you do buy beam deflectors, then take a look on your lens and you might find a dot.
This dot is the exact center of the beam pattern, and where you should fix the deflector.
align the dots.

I have found this in the hand book (downloaded from the fiat web site) in case anyone needs to look this up in the future.

The beam deflectors I have purchased will not cover this shape, so guess I had better get some tape! I assume it is the center area of the diagram should be covered, why can't this be simpler!

I'm not sure whether this applies to a Left/Right hand drive version of the GP so these may need to be reversed.
