Praying you can help me as i am clueless

No problems with my car recently (for a change) got in this morning and when i started driving i noticed a loud metal scraping noise.. seemed to be coming from the front right side of the car? i have looked and theres nothing hanging down and nothing that i can see is wrong from looking at it anyway.

could it be a wheel bearing? if so are they expensive?

Have you had the from brakes changed lately? I have an since then I get a squeal noise every so often on braking and can hear them rubbing when driving at times. If so will need some more grease on the pads or they may be too tight.

My gp runs fine no issues. What issues have you been having?

I havent, although i have been advised to get them checked out as they could be the reason for the noise. Fingers crossed its nothing too pricey.

I have had it about 6 months and have had to change the battery, the heating resister, had wiring issues with my lights and also the hydraulics for the clutch? sorry not very good with the technical descriptions as you can tell. Think i have just been unlucky if im honest, first car though so im having a bit of a love/hate relationship.

Sounds like you've got a car that someone didn't look after. I had that with my last car (ex company car :-/) take it its a dialogic (semi auto). It cost me £150 for brakes an pads done (had pagit ones they cost more).

Gp can be nice cars if treated correctly. Hopefully you won't have many more issues.

does the noise change when you apply brakes ?

If you can jack that side and turn wheel by hand.

Does it happen when the engine is running and the car is stationary, or does the car need to be moving? If the latter, as Cmos says, does it change when you apply the foot / hand brake and / or go round corners?
