Hi all, may sound daft but did the 2009 gp's come with an option to have the dash in carbon wrap? My dynamic sport gp is carbon wrapped on the dash. Reason I ask is when look at other peoples (including higher specs) they don't seem to have this in them (that I can tell). Just wondering if was a aftermarket job as have let insurance know :-( don't get me wrong think looks better than just plain grey colour

Series 2 Sporting and GP trim levels have a carbon effect dash. Yours has probably been wrapped.

Strictly speaking its a modification but not sure if id bother telling the insurance company personally

Thanks for the info. What I was thinking is it worth saying been done. When looked at insurance roughly 119 extra which is crazy

Edit: quick google and mine is a 1.4 8v 77bhp which come out with the series 2 (hopefully not got that wrong). Which would mean it's a series 2 with it by default

Edit 2: looked at a 09 reg (same as mine) dash the instruments are same style as mine but totally different than a 06/07 one. So would think second series

Yours will be an S2 on an 09 plate.
You sure its a dynamic? If its a GP that would explain the dash. What do your seats look like?

Yeah its a dynamic and they are black with grey centre. Picture not the best

Im guessing someone wrapped it then, its looks a slightly lighter colour than the carbon effect one that Fiat fitted

Thanks for the information, was first registered in march 2009. Being a series 2 why would someone re wrap i when already done (seems mad to me). Least I have an idea now thanks for the help.

It's factory fitted.

It's a 09 model, and you have the new speedometer from what I can tell by the first picture.
This is the "s2" (facelift model) you also have darker front lights, new square type fusebox etc etc.

It was only carbon style in GP or Sporting trim, not dynamic

I was told when i bought mine (from a dealer) that only the sporting and GP levels had it. Always learning on here ?

The OP's dash definately looks more of a blue/grey colour than the sporting dash, that must be the difference

Cmosfxx I was born confused lol. Why they did some with an some without is crazy but that's car manufactures for you

Just noticed the series 2 had blue and me by default which mines got :-D

They sorted out a lot of the earlier cars faults with the series 2 cars and changed some of the trim levels around a bit

That would explain it then thanks you learn something new as you go on here. Think next will go for a 500x or 500l if get fiat car next time around ;-)

Mines the GP, panoramic sunroof, blue and me, carbon dash and different seats if that helps at all
