Hi I recently had to replace the battery in my grande punto 1.2. Ive never had the generic failure light on before, even with battery issues. Since replacing the battery the light is always on and Im concerned damage may be done to the alternator or something, I didnt connect the battery personally so I cant know if the ground was removed first on disconnection for example, and has caused damage to electrical components of the car.
No issues so far that ive noticed at least,as far as car operation, lights, radio etc , the only change since new battery is my display is reset and flashing, clock etc.
If anyone could offer some advice or answers id appreciate it thanks
