Hi, What is the best way to remove small dents without damaging the paint work.

I only have two small dents on the tailgate of my Fiat Grande Punto and would love to remove them.

Many Thanks

Depends whereabouts you are in the country. Search for "mobile dent removal" or "cold dent repair" or "mobile SMART repair" and the like. Lots of companies have mobile operators who will come to your home or place of work and pull out minor dents. "Chipsaway" is one I've heard of.

Yeah, depends entirely where you are.

And also where the dents are! Some can be easily pulled out or pushed from the other side, but it all depends on the size of the dent, and it's location on the car.

There's some special tools you can buy to DIY. But it really depends where it's located exactly! And small dents are seriously the worst, big ones not so much but obviously depends haha :D

I really want to do it myself as I don't really want to spend much money. The dents are only small on the boot by the side of the Fiat badge. I have tired heating them up with a hair dyer and then using cold air on it but with no luck.

Does anyone now how the back panel of the boot comes off inside so I could try and pop them out?

Many thanks.

Undo one screw in the grab handle and then yank it off its clips. Be careful though, this panel cracks easily.

You might also consider one of the melting stick dent pullers (halfords), you melt the tip with a hair dryer, squish it onto the send, let it cool and pull. If everything is clean and you do it properly it is amazing how much force you can apply.
