Hey I've owned a 1.2 GP as my first car but 7 cars and 3 years later I'm wanting another but a 1.9 diesel, what should I look for when buying and what's your experiences from them? Thanks

You'll want check for a any noise from the gearbox (especially in high gears), that the clutch isn't slipping, that it starts and idles well and doesn't go into limp mode when you boot it and that it doesn't give off blue smoke on start up.

Are you sure you need a diesel? The t-jet is much more reliable.

Can't afford to insure the t jet, plus need a car that's reasonably economic doing motorway miles. Plus the remap gains are what's attracting me to the fiat compared to other cars I've been looking at, only cost £20 more than the 1.1 litre car I have now can't get a quote like that with other cars. Thanks for the information, be making sure I get a test drive of the high gears and give it a boot
