Hi there,
I have read through pretty much all of the historic threads relating to AUX input for the punto grande however I cant find the answer/advice I need.

I bought the required AUX lead for my grande 58 plate only problem is I cant find the AUX setting in my car??

It appears to work for like 30 seco ds when you press the windows button on the steering whell but this is used for the built in windows media centre not AUX.

Is there an AUX setting in the grande 58 plate?? And if so how the hell do you select it? Iv looked through every setting available and cannot find it?? PLEASE HELP FIAT GURUS!!!

Wrong Punto
You've got a Grande punto which came after the original punto series

I've reported it to a mod for you - they'll move it to the correct section where you shoulder get a better response :)

Hi Lucas,

If you want aux you need to comprise and lose blue and me. Basically in the back of the stereo will be the wires that blue and me use to plug into the stereo. I'm not sure what colour the adapter is though but you pull that one out and then plug the aux cable in

Then get a memory stick with at least one track on it, it can be any track, even silence, just so long as B&M will play it. Plug it in to the usb socket, make sure the aux cable is plugged into the streo then on your dash go to 'media player' and play any track from the usb stick. Then plug your mp3 player into the aux cable and start playing a track on there and thats what you will hear coming out of the speakers

Dont press the windows button after you have done this otherwise blue and me and your stereo will basically crash (it gets stuck in an endless loop) but restarting the engine solves that issue

Dont you have to double tap the cd button to select aux mode? Assuming you have removed blue and me and inserted aux connection as otherwise it will not work

Even if you've removed blue and me it will stay show media player instead of aux on the display

Only puntos that did not come with blue and me out of the factory will show aux.

However you are right, you can press the CD button until it cycles to media player or aux and they pretty much serve the same purpose. Only difference is that with blue and me you need to have a track playing on the USB stick at the same time. i should clarify that only the music playing through the aux cable will come out of the speakers with this method and you wont hear the music playing on the usb stick so you can literally shove anything on the USB stick (the track I randomly shoved on my usb stick was Sister Christian by Night Ranger is anyone is intrested :p )
