Hello, I have a Fiat Grande Punto and when I'm driving with my lights on all the controls light up apart from one of the heater lights.

I have attached an image of the heater controls and the one in the red box is the one that has stopped lighting up in my car.

Any ideas?

Many Thanks

You mean the led when you press it or the icon/symbol ?

When I'm driving in the dark with my headlights on all the other buttons light up apart from this one. However a led light comes on when I press it but it does not light up the image on the button.

There is no separate bulb (or led) to illuminate these buttons.

Just the 2 bulbs the whole console use. So probably the left one is dead.
Is the heater control (A) also dark? (or darker than the right side of the console?)

Bulb type is the classic 286 1.2w.

Very easy to replace.
Remove radio, pull the bulb holder back (the left one, there are two holders for each bulb), replace bulb, put the holder back and you're done.

Do NOT remove the console you will damage it 100%. (You will find some guides around)

Yup this is it!
You will need the radio extract tool if you have the factory one, or 4 long screwdrivers (same thing nothing special)

No if it's the factory one.

Btw you don't need to disconnect it.

1 minute job if you know where this bulb holder is. A mirror can help you a lot for the first time ;)

When I take out the radio there is just a metal cage. I cannot see when I need to remove the bulb holder?

Hope you will be able to help,
Many thanks.

Yes correct (damn I forgot this step sorry)
Remove this cage.

Okay, will I need to take all the wires out the radio to do this? And how do I remove the cage.

(Sorry, I am hopeless at anything like this)

Thanks.

I can remove it without disconnecting all the cables, only the antenna because it's very short.

Some say their cables are ever shorter. If yours are short too, just disconnect them, like I said if the unit is the factory one you don't need codes etc.

There are 4 or 6 torx type screws holding the cage iirc

You could have left the radio in place and removed the small quarter panel in the foot well. One screw and you have access to the back of the heater panel.
