Im surprised my daughters 06 plate Dynamic doesn't have a rear wash option..it has a wiper though.

Is it easy to install a wash option?.

No it must have a wash, my 06 Active does. There should be a small red bubble on the left hand end of the high level brake light. This activates if you push the wiper stalk forwards i.e. towards the front of the car

I only get to be in the car once a week or so which is when Im told about the 'niggles' she has with the car. She was moaning about the state of her rear window.

I did get her to push the wiper stalk forward and the noise suggested a pump but nothing happened at the window. The washer tanks full.

Could be clogged up if not use for a while, I'm was in same boat as you (I think)

Sees thread "Wait, there's a rear windscreen washer?" Goes to car to see how I've managed to miss this for 2 years. Pushed it away and the got the pumping sound but no joy, retried a few times and a bit of gunk splattered over the rear, before clear water.

I'd suggest just cleaning up the nozzle if pushing the lever a few times does nothing.

Just been out with my torch and checked. Defo pushing the stalk fwd engages the rear washer pump. Nothing out of the newly found rear spray nozzle.

I took both of the rear high level rubber grommets out and also the wiring loom grommet. Water ran out of the wiring loom 'hole'. No visible water tube but im assuming its taped together with the electric loom.

Cant see to do much else nits freezing. Another day.

While you know your way around that part of the car it's worth checking the wiring inside the corrugated rubber tube that the wires and the washer tube go through between the tailgate and the car body. It's a place where damage seems to occur
