i have had my grande punto 1.3 for nearly two years after a year or so every now and again (happened 4 times) the speedo will go all the way round while driving with out me changing speed

Must be the warp drive setting

probably a cable doing its tricks

I was assumireerence to cable was for a cable driven speedo which if they catch (which can happen) winds up then on release they shoot the speedo up really high just for a moment.

Obviously that can't happen with an electric speedo. More likely to be a sender or electrical connectivity issue in that case

I was talking about electric cables (from cluster to body computer, earth cables etc etc) not mechanical cables
