Bought my orange GP about a month a go now and in that time got a little giddy and started buying parts for her. So far have bought

18" oz superturismo
Coilovers
Heko wind deflectors
Tinted windows
Badgeless grill

Next things are to paint the section in between the grills black and some abarth headlights. Then going to make a start on the engine bits hopefully. Here some pics before and after.

Yeah I got quite a good deal on the car so it left me some more money to play with and they are the bits I bought. Things will slow down a little now need to start saving for the power upgrades want to try and do most things all at the same time.

To be honest I think the gearbox is close to it already I can hear a wine from somewhere and think it is the box :-(. Is there a certain place or company that people have been using to hybrid the turbo's??? Are red dot still the people to go to for the mapping as well

Set aside nearly a grande or so for gearbox repairs if it's whining. Their are specialists dotted around that deal with the chocolate M32 box. Terrible gearbox.

Don't know if this a stupid question but how different is the gearbox from like an astra vxr or vauxhall as they use a m32 box don't they

Courtney sport do a full bearing kit for around £200. Just a case of paying for labour then. IF the bearing fit all the 6 speed M32 gearboxes, can't see why they wouldn't? Think it's the route I'll go down when I have to, I'm getting a wine in 6th at the min. Trying a gear box oil change and the powerflex geaebox mount upgrade

Will have to give Courtney a ring see what they say about the kit fitting in a punto m32 box. Could get my mate to do all the fitting so that side isn't to bad. Would rather the box be working and totally fine as I want to spend on power upgrades not a box haha. What is the most power anyone has got from a diesel punto so far that is reliable and won't blow it self to bits

I recently had the dreaded gearbox failure, ended up being complete new box. The clutch and flywheel needed replacing too so brace yourself for a hefty payment if you don't change the bearings early

So plugged car in today and got these codes does anybody know what the unknown code is had a quick search on Google but nowt came up ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1424296685.733890.jpg

Don't bother with p0621
50181? Doesn't seem like a valid error code. Try multiecuscan and read that diesel temp sensor value to make sure it's not working (sometimes an other sensor is not working but the error is for other sensor etc)

Just out of interest what does the code p0621 relate to??? Thanks for that will get a proper scan on unknown one and will test the diesel temp sensor as well

Sometimes alternator is not charging right after the ignition but delays or needs a lil rev (just one) to charge its field.

I see this error on many GPs, I see it on my GP too, nothing serious if the voltage is fine tho

Yeah everything battery wise seemed fine to me I'll just ignore that one for now then haha thanks for your help

Thought i would do a bit of an update was saving to buy bits for the engine for more power. But other parts came up for sale which means my car has headed in a complete different direction than what I was originally going for. Not really much to show at the min as everything is happening in little bits but this is the new plan
Full abarth kit
Air ride using V2 management
Rotiform VCE wheels
Full respray..... In the new year
Here's a few pics

Abarth headlights with HID and led's
Measure up spacers so the wheels sit out to match the abarth kit
4 new tyres for the rotiforms
Punto evo rear lights
Paint the car in the new year and fit the the arches and side skirts from the abarth kit
