Hi guys, so ive previously queried the working of the USB ports. Ive tried several times and several methods to update the software but still no luck.
I want to be able to play my own music in my car, I'm not bothered about it charging or the steering wheel controls a working.
So really what i want to know is, is there another way of playing my own music without having to change the headunit?
Open to all ideas.
Thanks

I *think* because you have blue and me you might be limited.

1. Get cable that connects to rear of headunit and takes feed from headphone socket on your phone.
2. Get all singing, all dancing, USB, SD memory card, bluetooth unit but it comes at a price. You can get a unit that also allows you to use the steering wheel controls.

BUT you need to trawl through this forum and check that even with blue and me these units will work.

Someone else will probably come along shortly to give more precise advice.

Cheers for the info. It's a bit pricey but if that's the only option then I guess that's what I'll have to pay. Suppose it's still cheaper then a headunit.
Do you know where I'd plug that in at the back of my headunit as I had it out to look for an auxiliary port and there was only the one that connects to the radio?
Thanks

There is a much better option which I and few other punto owners have done.

Get this cable...

Take out the headunit. Pull out the blue and me cable that feeds into the hadunit and place this cable in its place.

Then plug a USB stick into the usb socket with at least one mp3 on it.

Plug the aux cable into your phone, select media player from the dashboard and start playing the track that is on the usb stick and voila!

You will loss features like message reader and the ability to make/receive calls through the dashbaord though

Hmmm. I use my blue and me a lot and wouldn't want to lose that. So I guess the first suggestion would be the only option if it works with blue and me,other then go with out.

Thanks,
Ryan
