Hi guys,

In the past couple of days I have noticed a drop in revs when accelerating. Going up a hill 1st to 2nd to 3rd then the revs seem to drop and i have to go back to 2nd, sometimes its feels like its going to just stall. Its become very sluggish even on a very moderate hill..

Any ideas off the problem please ?

Thanks

What engine.?
Only on hills ?
Any warning lights on ?

if it were the clutch slipping then revs would increase.

Fiat grande 1.2
No warning lights
And its sluggish in driving it on flat roads as well as hills, it seems to have lost power.

cheers

A few questions:

1. How recently has it been serviced?
2. Have you checked the pipes under the airbox for splits?
3. Are you sure your brakes aren't dragging?

The revs were increasing (explained that part wrong sorry). Indeed it is the clutch slipping and has been replaced by a mechanic £210. Thanks for diagnosing the problem. Cheers guys :)
