Hi people,
In advance, I apologize for my bad english. (I'm from Denmark)

I have a couple of problems with my Fiat Grande Punto 1,4 dynamic, from 06. Or should i say, alot of problems.
I bought my Fiat, brand new from factory, all sorts of electrical problems came along among others:
The cylinderhead got replaced after 1 year because it was cracked
The break light contact is replaced like 8-10 times,
The air contact was replaced because if a meltdown,
Oxygen sensor changed 2 times
Coolant fluid contact/temp. sensor changed 2 times
Battery replaced 4 times,
Suspension changede in the front both sides ( completly changed )
Alot of fuses, and i could go on.

Here is the deal - The "check engine" light comes on periodically when it alarms the engine goes to "go home mode" or "emergency mode" takes no more than 3000-3500 rpm.
And now it comes up with the "check running lights" though every bulp outside and inside works fine.

Recently changed (1 month ago): Oil filter, air filter, sump, oil, (at service ) oxygen sensor and coolant fluid contact/temp. sensor, position lights, fog lights, head lights (H4 bulp), brakelight, rear light, nummerplade light, every bulp on the car infact, not LED because of the canbus.

Treatments:
Oil system cleaner
Worning engine treatment
Engine power injection,
Fuel system cleaner
Fuel service cleaner

Nothing seems to help, it still comes on from time to time. Some times every day, other times weeks before it shows.
I have used a Mobilscan to check the ecu.
Got these codes: p1220, p0300 and p0301
When I reset the ecu the problem comes among after a week, one time after a month.
Got to a fiat mechanic and they did the same i suppose, cause after a month the problem came again, then i got to the mechanic again, and they fixed it again, but this time the problem came after six month. And this has been going on for about 5-6 yearson and off, im tired of spending money on the car when nothing seems to help.
I can't seem to find any solutions on the web, so i hope someone on this forum have any experience with these faults im getting and possibly have some comments.

As a last note i can tell you that my fiat have went to every services and repairs at a fiat mechanic/workshop.

Hope you can help.

Greetings from Denmark

1.4 8v or 16v starjet ?

The cylinderhead got replaced after 1 year because it was cracked
You are very unlucky. Where it was cracked?

The break light contact is replaced like 8-10 times,
What is this? Do you mean brake light switch (on the pedal ?)

The air contact was replaced because if a meltdown,
What is this? Do you mean air-box filter ? If yes then is a classic fail.

Oxygen sensor changed 2 times
Why? Original part sensors both times? :)

Coolant fluid contact/temp. sensor changed 2 times
What was the problem? They replaced the whole thermostat with the sensor or only the sensor? (notice: sensor is not sold separately)

Battery replaced 4 times,
Replaced...with? brand/model ? Alternator condition ?

Suspension changede in the front both sides ( completly changed )
This is totally depending on your driving/roads etc.

Alot of fuses, and i could go on.
What fuses? You should have checked for short-circuits.

I have to ask again here what engine is this 8v or 16v ? If it's a 8v do a phonic wheel re-learn.

And now it comes up with the "check running lights" though every bulp outside and inside works fine.
Maybe there's a connection problem or a bulb is ready to go.

Got these codes: p1220, p0300 and p0301
I think p1220 is causing p0300 and p0301 (random misfires).

Since the car has a bad history already (cylinder head repair) you have to:
-Check Fuel-trims
-Check timing
-If it's 8V make phonic wheel re-learn
-Cylinder compression test to make sure it's not related to a cylinder head problem.

8V it's not so complicated like 16V.

Like I said, for an easy cheap start, check timing and do a phonic wheel re-learn (this is a MUST)

Mileage ?

Going to my pc. This ipad is annoying. Cant figure how to quotw you like you did me.?!?!

Thanks alot for your reply i'll write again tomorrow.
