Grand punto 56 plate remote locking

Hi people
When I press to lock/unlock all what happens is that the hazards flash like normal but doors are not locking. I have 5 door and have to lock doors separately.

This has happened since had alternator and battery replaced as alternator was over charging the battery.
Please can anyone help

No boot light doesn't work but never noticed a boot light before anyway lol

Do indicators flash quick when trying to lock?

Yes they flash like they would normally when it locks.

Sorry didn't read message properly . They don't flash quickly only normally

So only flash once with a single hit of the lock button on the remote?

and does it lock / unlock everything if you manually put the key in the door and lock it?

No I have to lock/unlock all doors separately

In that case then its the central locking that has failed, and not the remote side of things.

Have you checked the fuses?

Yea I have checked fuses for central locking. Was thinking maybe a connection has come loose but couldn't find anything. Not had time to take it to be looked at.
