As the title says!
I need to top up my engine oil but can't find the definite answer.
Can anyone help?
Halfords don't know! And web searches give conflicting answers.

Usually it will tell you in the manual. If go to https://www.shop4parts.co.uk/?name=...2&mk=Fiat&model=69&engineSize=1000&category=8 they state 5-40 and they sell genuine fiat stuff.

Also knowing which to get, then look here https://www.fiatforum.com/grande-punto-faqs/231119-grande-punto-oil.html the guy who posted it is a well recommended person to talk to in all things fiat. He knows his stuff. Hope this helps. Sorry for double posting

This is correct, but I wouldn't worry about the "genuine" stuff I'm not even sure that's what fiat use on cars that leave the factory.

Any good quality oil of that specification will do the job so castrol, esso, shell, comma etc etc, even the cheap stuff in Asda isn't that bad

If the last service was done at s generic car garage then it's highly likely it's got castrol in it and probably the wrong grade too
