The 12v socket (or cigarette lighter if your old) on my punto has never worked for me, is there a fuse somewhere? Or any some things to check?
Thanks in advance.

Oh good thought something was wrong for a minute then!

The fuse will blow earlier than normal which in case of say a sat nav wont even come close to been problematic

The power outlet is marked as a max of 180w

On the s2 and evo it appears they are a 15a.....

This is fiat for you ;-)

180w = 15A but you want some leeway otherwise something that is at 180W will have a 15A fuse glowing but now blowing, hence most being 20A fused

Well atm im useing a phone charger, and taking a wire to my headunit.... still hasnt blown *touch wood*

A phone charger will draw no more than a few hundred milliamps 1000mA at most so really only a fraction of what that wiring is rated to Handle the issue would be if you then tried to run a compressor to pump up tires or a mini fridge etc anything that's going to draw a lot more power, if not fused correctly the wiring in the car won't be able to handle the current even if the fuse has been increased, most head units are fused at 10A
