General punto immobiliser???

I'll try that Dave. I live in Banbury work in Oxford. I'm thinking main dealer because I'm sure its the immobiliser.
Just seems strange that it worked fine for 2 days after being fixed for exactly the same thing.

Just noticed the odometer didn't clock a single mile on my 30 mile drive to work.

Update if anyone cares, this is much more interesting than celebrities in the jungle....... The radio turned itself off whilst driving, then the windscreen wipers barely moved, the lights properly dimmed and were barely on and the steering got really really heavy. Just about made it home. This car is bamboozling me.

I'm starting to think that now mate. Its just the not starting that's making me think its the immobiliser at fault

BUMP!!
So the garage is saying its definitely a starter motor problem, the tested and it gets 12v all the way through but starter motor still won't fire. What are the odds of 2 faulty starters in 1 week?
Still doesn't seem right to me.

Well green flag and 3 different mechanics all failed to find a broken earth wire. All of them said faulty starter. Cheers for all your advice guys

What earth was it if you don't mind me asking. I've been having a few of the same sort of things happening to my car just lately.

The one on the back of the gearbox. Apparently it was fine at the teather but wasted away further down.

So first thing after checking everything else? Would never stand up in court!! Besides what I know about cars you could write on keira knightleys tits.

aaahahaha :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Anyway... even I couldn't imagine cable problems after so many times you visited the garage. It should be the first thing someone to check, since he replaced starter motor :confused:!! but what the hell :rolleyes:
