Hello Fiat members
I have research a lot about fitting foglight for grande punto, but i have not seen any guides for how to install it as origina... I mean with the original fog button, I have bought the original front wiring for fan, light etc, which goes direct to the fusebox, and a new fusebox has also been replaced, I have fitted the original fog button too, but when i click on the fog button nothing happens, my mechanicer says the wiring in the compartment should be replaced "wiring from fusebox to buttons, steering, radio fans etc. is that true or do i have to do something else?

I have also tried to replace the ecu which was born with fog light?

all parts were bought from secondhand

Iknow, all parts have been replaced from a crashed car which had Fog lights fitted allready, can u tell me what i have to modify/change for it will work? Should i change the full wiring from fusebox to the switch?
What i have replaced until now, full front wiring from lights, fan etc, fusebox, switch and ecu what more do i have to replace from the crashed car?

First thing I would suggest is get a copy of multiEcuScan (free to download) and a OBDII cable set

Plug in and use MES to activate the the dash light for front fog lights, if this doesn't work then your body computer doesn't not support front fog lights and you should pretty much give up
The route I would go down is to hack the system a on-off latch connected to the button hack into the dash light and connect to the latch and run a wire out to an engine bay relay to energise the fog lights it's probably a million times easier than what you have been doing.

The OEM fit would most likely need the dash out and a new complete dash engine bay and lighting loom and maybe a new body computer

thanks for the answer

Pandas okay, I will try to reshell the entire electrical system and be back with some answers soon..

AndyRkett I have already connected the other body computer from the donor car which was born with fog lights? do i have to activate the dash light for the fog lights so?

Just because you have the body computer fitted doesn't mean there are any wires to the switches dash or or warning lights, that's what you need to confirm

Hello guys
I have think about it, maybe its too complicated to wire it as original but its posible, so I have planned to wire it by otherway, i have seen the guide for fitting fog lights in the guide section, i was thinking to fit it like the guide but I want to fit it by my way, now my question is it posible to wire a relay and a fuse in the fusebox, is it posible to modify the original switch so it will work for the lamps and is it posible to modify the fog indicator in the dash to work with this installation?

In short no, not without seriously complex hacking I'd have thought.

I have a punto mk2b with the fog lights. Maybe they need cleaning or something? What is their purpose? Is it worth having a look to see if they do something useful?

On a mk2b they light up a very short range enough to light up the edges of the road when visibility is bad

They don't light up anything at any distance maybe 12ft in front of the car max
