Got home from work tonight and noticed that the radiator grille is missing from my grande punto 1.2 08 plate-( didn't hear it drop off on way home on motorway so not sure where it went....
No car parts places open at this time, but worry whether it's safe for me to drive without it, various things I've read on Internet suggest not, especially as my journey to work is all motorway, approx 25 miles.
Had a new radiator fitted on 1st July, would garage have had to remove the grille to fit it, and maybe not replaced it properly? My friends husband noticed it was hanging loose a while back and popped it back in for me, and it had looked fine since then?
Any advice or tips gratefully received?
Thanks
Sharon

Welcome,

There's no problem driving without it, you are not going to rally off-road with the other cars anyway.

Just replace it soon cause the AC radiator is exposed to big rocks etc, nothing more serious.

ps. Badgeless grill time heh :p

Thanks for replying... Was just worried the radiator would get damaged and only just had a new one... Just being made redundant so can't afford a big repair bill :-(
If I order one online is it easy to fit? Will try calling my local euro car parts in the morning and see if they can supply and fit... If I smile nicely at them :)
Cheers

Very easy to fit... just push it until it's locked in to place. Make sure it won't fall off again. (you are not the first one btw :) )

Keep distance from the cars in front of you and you will be ok. (in case a big rock pops from a tire etc)

Thanks cmosfxx - bought and fitted myself no problem.
Badgeless grille time indeed... :)
