Check if autoclose is disabled.

About water leak,
Check coolant level.
Park the car on a dry surface or put some paper-box sheets under engine tray and turn on car with bonnet opened. Inspect for leaks around radiator and coolant hoses.

If you have a/c on there will be water drops. It's from condensation drain. This drain is somewhere under your feet area.

yes auto close was off (on now) thanks ..as for leak? that are no leaks over night or anything as did put a white sheet of paper under car all night! coolant is fine (had new radiator fitted a year or so ago) it's just when i start engine ..from cold ?? as for A/C ..it's needs re gasing & has been like that for about 2 years now

Coolant leak source is easy to spot with engine running and at normal temp.

How much leak are we looking at by the way and where? If coolant level is the same maybe it's not coolant at all ?

water leak is not much ..just about half a inch of drop splash! coolant level is always on max line (it's kind of where about the exhaust connects from front of car) ?? saying that had brand new exhaust fitted to not so long ago
