Hi,

I hope you can help me out with this.

I have this squeeky creaky sound coming from somewhere around the corner of the dash or around the A-Pillar on the drivers side (i have a LHD car) so for UK/Aussi folks thats the passenger side.

I sprayed a whole can of silicon spray between the dash and windshield and all around the A pillar. No fix.

PLEASE HELP MEEEE :bang::bang:

yeea I know what you talk about. You think it's coming from the corner of the dash around the pillar but nope. Also you can't generate the noise using hands, pushing dash, pillars, windscreen etc right? I have the same prob but I can't find the source lol.

Your spot on about the problem haha.

I just disasambled the whole a-pillar. Removed some foam padding and windshield rubbers. Then i drove for a bit. But the problem was still there. It sounds like its coming from arround that small window near the A pillar. Driving with door open or closed doesnt seem to solve the problem.

Do you think it might be coming from beneath the car?

Exactly. Oh man and then you found that it's a real pain to put back the pillar right? Very very hard to align that pin inside there...

No it's not something under the car, it's something under that area of the dash. Maybe air-vent? I really don't know...

Ill remove the airvent assembly in the korting. Hope that the sound is from there

May I ask what exactly you removed ? only the front slider part? Is there anything else on the inside? vent hole / air recirculation etc ?

I removed the part that you operate from the dashboard. Behind that part there is an airtube. Cant remove that, no parts rubbing on that anyways. I think the squeek is coming from a seal between the body and something mounted to the body. Just dont know whwt

This is my guess because the sound is alsof generated when the body and chassis are under stress. During braking and accelerating even on a silky smooth road

Yes that's true...even on a silky smooth road the noise is there. :bang:

Send me the link on PM

Also check your messages ;)

Someone told me that it could be the strip that runs all the way against the windshield behind the big airvent on the dash. Have you had a look there?

I have removed completely the big air vent (with the sensor) but noise still there.

What strip he's talking about?hmm

Guys please come up with suggestions.
Other than the center air vent on top of the dash, what else can rattle and squeek. Please guys come with suggestions, otherwise youll find me in a mental institution soon.

Check this out.
Today i went to a carwash and pressure washed the suspension and other connecting parts as far as i could reach. The creaking reduced noticiably. So i think the problem is caused due to a worn rubber or something. Can you please do the same and post your result.

done it already many times. No way the noise is from suspension or other parts. Mine is much louder than yours and it's somewhere around the dash and the body. It's not a loose part but it's a hard plastic to hard plastic rubbing noise (not a rubber or sth else)
